This Clipper Mill Portrait Session was like no other.
Not everyone can say they truly have a best friend, and even less people can say they have several best friends. However, these girls are extremely lucky, as they are a group of best friends. These besties have been together since they were little, little girls, and I’m so honored that I was able to captures these young ladies for a Clipper Mill Portrait Session.
This Clipper Mill Portrait Session was meant to be an experience, a whole afternoon of celebrating their youth, and the special friendships in their lives.
The afternoon was about so much more than just getting some cute pictures of some beautiful young ladies. But they’re only in 8th grade, you say? Well, I can tell you from personal experience, I met my best friends when I moved to a new school in 7th grade, and to this day, they are still my very best friends. They have been by my side through thick and thin, and I can’t imagine going through life without them. There is never a wrong time to celebrate freindship!!
Spending a day celebrating that kind of friendship is definitely a day to remember!!!
To start the day off, the girls went to lunch with their moms at Birotecca,(you should TOTALLY GO THERE if you have never been) and then they came to the studio for some pampering. I had lots of treats for them (and the moms) to indulge on while they each got their make-up done by my amazing make-up artist Emily O’Donnell. If you’ve never had your make-up done, she is definitely the girl to call! She did such a phenomenal job doing each girls’ make-up; perfect for their age and the look of this Baltimore Bestie Session. You definitely want to contact her if you need make-up for a special occasion, or even just a personal make-up lesson!
Each girl brought a suitcase of clothes, so we also spent some time going through what they brought, carefully selecting their outfits for a variety of looks! As you can imagine, there were lots of giggles and shared clothes…. you know, it’s what best friends do! 🙂
After their make-up was done, each girl had a few minutes to have a small, individual Baltimore Portrait Session.
When all four were finished with make-up, we did a lot of fun group shots and poses! The giggles were loud and smiles were plentiful!
I’m so honored I was able to do this session for these girls. Not only did I get to be a small part of their special celebration of friendship, I was able to document a feeling of security, love, trust and friendship that will no doubt, become deeper and deeper as they do life together! Thank you girls, and your cute moms, for trusting me!! I know you will treasure these images forever!
Does a day of pampering and celebrating with your best friends sound good to you? Send me a message if you’d like more information about a Baltimore Bestie Session with your gals! 🙂 It’s an experience that will not disappoint! Whether your 16 or 60, it’s always time to celebrate your besties!
