Despite my best intentions, keeping my blog up to date is proving to be a daunting task for me these days. It’s not due to a lack of sessions or beautiful people or weddings; I’ve been photographing all of those things, and have so many fun, beautiful sessions, weddings, and people to blog!! Quite frankly, I’m just bad at keeping up!!! 🙂 It seems like the days and months have been going by at warp speed recently! 🙂
Every year our school, Roland Park Elementary Middle School, has a large, amazing auction to raise money for programs, teachers, supplies and other things needed at the school!! It is always absolutely incredible, and the amount of work that goes into it is enormous, but it’s such a wonderful event that raises so much money!!! This year I decided to donate a Portrait Party. I used to do these long ago, when I first started my business and had gotten away from them. I’m so happy this item was bid on, and won, and raised great money for the school. And I am even happier that I had the honor to photograph 11 new families, many whom had never had professional portraits taken before!
A Portrait Party is when a hostess invites a number of families for a party, and each family is allotted about 10-15 minutes to have professional photos taken. It’s a great way to get together with friends, share delicious food and drinks, and also have a quick professional image taken. The kids run around, the adults eat, drink and chat, and a fabulous time is had by all! And honestly, for most dads, it’s a great introduction into professional photography! It proves that it doesn’t have to be painful! LOL 🙂 Thank you, to my fabulous hostess, Betsy, for a very successful party! If you are interested in hosting your own Portrait Party, send me an email. I would love to chat with you more!
Betsy, here are your beautiful friends!!
